NYLON-6 : POLY AMIDE 6 COMPOUNDS

NYLON-6 – Unfilled Compounds

Application: Cable tie, Brushes, Bristles, Switch parts, Knobs, Two wheeler mirror housings, Motor insulation parts, Fuse Box, Plugs, Sockets, Button, Door handles, Ropes, Furnitures etc.

Properties: Meets outdoor application, these compounds having high flexibility, Elasticity and Low Flexural modulus.

UV Stabilized Co–polymer: Automotive outdoor applications, Mud Guard etc.

Properties: Heat stabilized, nucleated for fast molding cycle with excellent molding and dimensional control.

Availabilty: Customized Pre-color & Opaque UV color grades are also available.

NYLON-6 – Glass Fiber Reinforced Compounds

Application: Fuel cap, Radiator fans, Terminal block, Switch housing, Instrument housing, Insulation parts, Chair base, Encapsulation, Shroud, Under-bonnet parts, Pillion handle, Gears, Cams, Rear view mirror parts, Door handles, Wheel cover, Gear housing, Holder etc.

Properties: Chemically coupled with heat stabilized Glass Fiber reinforced compounds with excellent mechanical and thermal properties. Offers reduced shrinkage, Excellent surface finish and dimensional stability.

Availabilty: Pre-coloured compounds Filled with Glass fiber reinforced 5 % to 50 %, Customized UV Grades are also available.

NYLON-6 – Mineral Reinforced Compounds

Application: Wheel cover, Lamp housings, Pillion handle, Switch housing, Lids, Grills, Engine hood, Instrument housing.

Properties: Heat stabilized mineral reinforced Offers moderate strength and very good surface finish. Medium shrinkage and warpage and good dimensional stability.

Availabilty: Pre-coloured compounds Filled with mineral reinforced 5 % to 40 %, Customized UV Grades are also available.

NYLON-6 – Mineral with Glass Fiber Reinforced Compounds

Application: Automotive parts, Instrument Housings, Door Handle, Heater grills, Parts where warpage control is important.

Properties: Moderate to good mechanical, thermal properties with smooth surface finish for warp free molding.

Availabilty: Pre-coloured compounds Filled with Mineral & GF reinforced up to 40 %, Customized UV Grades are also available.

NYLON-6 – Flame Retardants (Unfilled / Glass Fiber Reinforced Compounds)

Application: Bobbin, Switch parts, MCB Housing , Terminal Block, Relay base / parts, Printed Circuit Board frame, Connectors, Carbon brush holder.

Properties: Unfilled FR grades possess moderate strength, anti dripping flammability properties. But combination of FR and glass filled possess combination of good mechanical/thermal properties. Compliant GWIT (960°C) and FR rating at 0.80 mm thick parts, Moderate mechanical strength with low warp molding.

Availabilty: Pre-coloured compounds FR Unfilled and FR Filled with Glass fiber reinforced up to 30 %, Customized UV Grades are also available

NYLON-6 – Self Lubricated (PTFE filled / MoS2 filled Compounds)

Application: Parts which requires self lubrication and can not be greased in the applications like Gears, Sleeves, Actuators, Clutches.

Properties: Dry lubrication for anti-friction & improved wear resistance. Low co-efficient of friction.

Availabilty: Pre-coloured compounds Filled with PTFE and MoS2 up to 20 %.

NYLON-6 – Super Tough (Unfilled / Glass Fiber Reinforced Compounds)

Application: Tubing, Brake shoe for textile machine, Instrument shoes, Luggage parts, frames, Castors, Helmet parts, Parts where repeated hammering is involved.

Properties: Very High impact strength, Excellent chemical resistance, Excellent elasticity and elongation, Low density. Up to no break at room temp and high impact at -40’C.

Availabilty: Pre-coloured compounds unfilled and Filled with Glass fiber reinforced up to 35 %.
